Is it theĀ ”Madden Curse”? Vince Young had an MRI early Monday morning to check his strained right quad muscle. Results of the test have yet to be announced, but Titans coach Jeff Fisher stated that Vince was day to day. Vince was injured Sunday during the Titans 13-10 loss to Tampa Bay. Luckily it sounds like this is probably nothing to serious and i would guess he will probably be ready to go next weekend against the Texans.

Over the first three games of the season, we’ve begin to see some solid progression in Vince Young’s game. The first game against Jacksonville, VY didn’t play well. He had 78 yards passing and 1 interception, giving him a QB rating of 48. However, against the Saints, Young took great strides in his game. He ended the game 14 of 22 for 164 yards, 2 touchdowns and only 1 interception.

For a player in only his second year, VY is beginning to show why he was selected #3 overall in the NFL Draft last year. Not only are VY’s stats improving game by game, but he keeps winning. The Titans, who some predicted to take a step backwards, are 2-1 going into the bye and 2nd in the AFC South division. Stats will always take a backseat to winning. If a QB can win the game, that’s all that matters.

Young will take this bye week to help sharpen his game. Their next four games are ATL, TB, HOU, and OAK. There’s no reason why Tennessee shouldn’t win them all.

Well we are back again for another season. Did it seem like it took forever to get here or what?

Week 1 of the 2007 season Vince and company had to travel down to Jacksonville, FL to take on the mighty Jaguars :)

As we all know by now even though Vince did not have a stellar game, the Titans defeated the jags 13-10. Vince threw for only 78 yards with no TD and 1 INT. He did however rush for 22 yards with 1 TD. It’s a check in the Win column is all that matters though. The running game looked awesome, thanks to the great performance by the offensive line (the jags defensive line helped alot too though). All in all the Titans look much better than they have the last few years, especially on defense. I am looking forward to see what happens this season. Week 2 the Titans play the mighty Colts at home, this will be a true test. I will keep you posted with there progress.

Young, who finished 8-5 as a starter, was voted the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press after the season.

Young replaces San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers, who was forced to withdraw from the Pro Bowl because of an ankle injury. Young was the second alternate behind Tom Brady, who also withdrew.

Young will play behind Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer for the AFC Pro Bowl team on Feb. 10 in Honolulu.
